Four out of five careless drivers who kill 'walk free'

According to a new newspaper investigation, more than four out of five drivers who have killed as a result of careless driving have walked free from courts.

Motorcycle News reported all but 48 of the 313 people sentenced for the new offence of causing death by careless driving have not been sent to jail.

Study claims women more proficient at parking

A new study published this week suggests women motorists are better at parking than their male counterparts.

According to the results of the survey, produced by Britain's biggest car-park operator NCP, despite taking longer than men to park, women are more able to find a space and centrally position the vehicle.

The survey tested 2,500 drivers and car insurance policy holders, and rated them on different aspects of parking. The results showed that out of a maximum of 20, women scored on average 13.4 and men an average of 12.3
