How different are your spending habits when you are on vacation vs when you are at home?
Black Friday shoppers rationalize their consumerism with "spending supports the economy" patriotism.
Everyone is talking about the high-flow shower heads. Do you think it's worth the savings to not use it? How about a low-flow one?

Have a ton of stuff lying around your house? It is not worth that much to you just sitting on your floor? It will be worth a whole lot more when you put it up on EBay!
I had to make airline reservations this week and it both amazed and sickened me to see how many airline fees there are. They are actually worse than bank fees because most bank fees can be avoided. Many airline fees are much more difficult, if not impossible, to avoid.

Dawn sent me a link to a Yahoo video about a couple that took on the challenge of using only cash for one month.
What was the result? They lived with some inconveniences, but managed to cut their spending for the month by 24%. For them, that equaled $1,800. That’s quite a bit of money.
Budget busters are your weak spots. It might be a shoe sale; or a bookstore’s clearance section; maybe that video game you’ve read so much about. Whatever it is, it hits – and it hits hard.
I’m talking about instances where no real value is derived from money spent, OR areas where I could be spending less without any loss in significant time or value.
