One of my favourite personal finance books is The Wealthy Barber written by David Chilton. Chilton weaves his financial advice around a story of a barber named Ray who is independently wealthy. While detailing Ray’s story Chilton incorporates advice that Ray dispenses to his clients.

A couple weeks ago I wrote a review on my favourite personal finance book: The Wealthy Barber. I have read many more personal finance books, and some probably give overall better advice than that found in Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki;

More than two decades later, Chilton is back with The Wealthy Barber Returns. The author claims to be significantly older and only marginally wiser.

I think you are better off reading The Wealthy Barber Returns. It’s actually nothing like his first book. In fact, I think it’s way better.

In The Wealthy Barber Returns, David takes on the newfound addiction to debt that society has embraced since he released his best-seller. A large part of the book is spent rightly reminding people how toxic debt can be to financial planning, as well as asking how much “stuff” people actually need.

The Secret Language of Money: How to Make Smarter Financial Decisions and Live a Richer Life, written by David Krueger and John David Mann, is as much a psychology book as it is about personal finance.
