Help - where should I order my credit reports from?

Posted June 3rd, 2008 by moneyhoney

I need to see my credit report soon as I doubt some foul play. I came across a site that promises to offer all three credit reports (bestcreditreports.com). That too for unlimited usage. Can anyone suggest me if or not to go for their service? If not, can you recommend me any other services where I can get the reports fast? I don't mind the money, I just need the reports to reach me as early as possible. Please also let me know the duration it usually takes to get your report once ordered. What exactly are these free credit reports and how is it different from the paid ones. Someone told me it takes a lot of time to get a free report as compared to a one we pay money for. Is this true? Please advice!

I prefer AnnualCreditReport.com. It's free and no catch.

You don't to see your scores (which really is the only benefit of a paid report), but for basic credit reporting, there's nothing better. We space requesting each of the 3 free reports every 4 months so we have better coverage.

The reports there are generated immediately as far as I remember. I've never heard of them taking a long time.
