Chinese carmaker BYD opened its Los Angeles office today. It’s the first automaker from China to open a North American headquarters. BYD which has Warren Buffett as a major shareholder produces both hybrid and pure electric cars. The company also makes charging systems, solar panels, and LED lighting.
