About a week ago we brought you a post describing a proposal by Senators Cardin (D-Maryland) and Ensign (R-Nevada) that would give first-time homebuyers a $20,000 tax credit, replacing the current $7,500 credit.

We’ve been talking for months now about whether or not Congress and President Obama would be renewing the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003. Last night Obama and Congressional Republicans agreed in principal to a deal to extend the tax cuts, along with unemployment insurance
Neither candidate will have a significant impact on the economy.
